And Tv Series again: Mad Men (AMC) and the Sopranos (HBO) more or less recently did scream masterpiece, winning a Golden Globe seems almost to take up the most prestigious and significant and raise another golden statuette.
Now, far be it from me to give you the pills in a chronicle of those lucky show (I'd be pleased, but I have not, wretched me, not even the necessary knowledge and skills), but we can not fail to notice that Lost has honored (the epithets of Sawyer docent) and drawn from this genre of television, from which the bottom of the "story ocean" was born.
The depth of writing (refer to Dickens, Steinbeck, and to many altri autori anglosassoni), l'intrattenere con intelligenza, il riversare scenari da tutto il mondo, multietnici e multilingue, il toccare corde esistenziali (l'identità del padre, tema cruciale di tutta la letteratura e il cinema americano, da Tom Sawyer a Star Wars, tanto per citare due riferimenti “casuali”), il giocare con lo spazio e il tempo (le vite parallele e alternative) si mescolavano per alcune settimane all'anno sulla Abc (anche a livello delle sole sovra-impressioni tv) alle altre Serie sorelle.
Come non ricordare una serie di spot di lancio in apertura di stagione televisiva, nei quali i personaggi delle principali saghe dialogavano tra loro, sfidandosi addirittura a calcio balilla?
Una cornucopia di serialità che secondo alcuni studiosi di cinema avrebbe addirittura fatto gridare Aldo Grasso (che giustamente ci ricorda che noi abbiamo i Telegatti come massima onorificenza) alla Madonna.
Ora mi chiedo, lanciando l'osso ai fidati mastini di questo blog, se la serialità televisiva possa essere, a qualsivoglia latitudine, ancora terreno di avanguardia.
Se era giusto vedere nelle scene girate nei boschi di Twin Peaks con la sola luce di una pila e la camera a mano uno spunto in nuce per “The Blair Witch Project”, è giusto vedere in alcune scene dell'ultimo Hereafter di Eastwood la rete di relazioni e di contatti con l'aldilà sublimata da Lost ?
