Without the presumption of a plot summary or to offer a unique key to reading about the first reactions to the final, I feel rather the need (as the father of Miles, the nice doctor from many names in movies Dharma) Lost to thank you for oriented my life as a spectator in those six seasons. Thanks to Lost I learned how to interleave my more or less low-literary backgrounds, forfeited a player in my short life, knowledge of common friends of the first and last time, in a knowledge building community that knows a lot of medieval and modern at the same time.

Then, unable to appear in the film, I will report what the consensus seemed to emerge in the comments from audiences more or less prestigious, all still worth visiting, and more or less applauded.

Lostmania Comunque sia andata ... è Lostmania! A tal proposito, riferendomi all'omonimo sito web che mi permetto pubblicamente di ringraziare per l'ottimo lavoro svolto, ne traggo alcune annotazioni che hanno creato tale febbre, annotazioni: circa i legami che le persone hanno creato e che rimarranno eterni e per sempre; circa l'Isola quale luogo di conoscenza di se stessi e degli altri (!); circa i bei momenti di “epifania” di personaggi che nella "realtà alternativa" ritrovano tutte le loro connessioni, tutte molto emozionanti; circa la crescita e la sostanziale redenzione che vivono i protagonisti. Ma come per ogni cult di rispetto le domande inevase rimangono tante, con la storia (intesa come intreccio) che sembra essere stata messa sempre più da parte, finendo con l'apparire addirittura colpevolmente lacunosa, per puntare invece, come in un grande gioco di ruolo (il gioco molto più bello pubblicizzato da Locke?), sui personaggi e sulle loro relazioni e legami.

Il sacrificio finale Da Twin Peaks a Lost l'immolarsi per il bene degli altri, azione dai riflessi prettamente cristologici, sembra essere diventato un marchio di fabbrica. Del resto tutti i racconti che più o meno filosoficamente come il Vangelo (si badi, ci sono sia i sinottici sia il più filosofico Giovanni nel quale - lo ricorda Aldo Grasso sul Corriere citando Gv 18,14 – si sostiene che “è meglio che un uomo solo muoia per il popolo” ) ricercano una chiave di lettura assoluta sulla vita e sulla morte finiscono quasi inevitabilmente to travel this sacrifice.
